I had a fantastic stay at this motel. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The owner of the motel was very pleasant and accommodating, making me feel welcomed. It was also a huge plus that they allowed pets, and the price was reasonable even during the busy peak season. The motel's location in the beautiful hills outside the city provided a serene and picturesque setting. Additionally, the hotel facilities were well-maintained and cleanliness was top-notch.
None.

We chose this motel because it was pet friendly. It was a travel break with our dog and very convenient. I would recommend this motel to anyone who was travelling with a pet.

Great location with stunning mountain views and easy parking options. the room was equipped with free Wi, Fi and a small balcony, which was perfect for enjoying a coffee in the morning sun. the room was very affordable, making it an excellent option for budget, conscious travelers.
The motel is old and needs a renovation. Some aspects were not up to the usual hotel standards, such as the old, fashioned decor and the small size of the TV.

We needed accommodation where we could take 2 labradors with us as we were in the process of moving from Otago to Auckland.
When we arrived we were told that we would have to clean up any dog hairs left in the room. Felt that we could not touch anything or have the dogs move from their beds which were just inside the room. Although supposedly dog friendly they were dog tolerant, other motels gave us information regarding where to take the dogs for a walk etc.

The bed was so very comfortable I did not want to get up from it. The owner was so friendly and helpful he told us where to go for a very good meal. the view from the room was lovely mountains and it was quiet even though on the main road. we will stay here again anytime, good value for the money.
it was a bit far from the centre of town but there was everything we needed at the nearby shopping centre.

For my recent business trip, I stayed at a motel in a coastal town. The bed was comfortable and the Wi-Fi worked well. The town's main street and beach were within walking distance, making it easy to explore during downtime.
This motel lacked attention to detail. The bathroom was not properly cleaned, windows were dirty, and some facilities were outdated.

They allow you to take your pet.
The motel and the rooms were extremely run down and desperately need an upgrade. Further, both the reception area and the rooms were dirty and had clearly not been thoroughly cleaned for some time. We rejected the first room we were shown as, apart from the floors being dirty and the heater being broken, the toilet still had feces in the bowl and the motel room smelled of it. The second room we were shown (which we were assured had not been used since it was recently thoroughly spring cleaned) was in a similar state and the manager immediately produced a bottle of bleach and cleaned the toilet. The curtains would not close properly over the filthy windows, as many of the curtain hooks had been broken and not repaired. One of the bedside lights did not work as the bulb had blown and not been replaced a number of the kitchen items still had food stuck to them. The manager seemed surprised when we asked for some milk (something all motels and hotels in my experience provide as a matter of course) and finally produced a very small quantity of milk in the bottom of a stainless steel jug, All of this for a price we would have paid for a night in a local, up-market bed and breakfast!

The whole complex needs a revamp - very outdated.

The dishes were dirty (coffee cups had not been cleaned). There was a fire hazard of an outside light, hubby (electrician) mentioned it to owner who laughed. Decor outdated, not very clean. Toilet needs a darn good clean. Hotplate cheap and nasty, in need of a good clean. Fridge filthy, needs a clean with hot water. Price was disgusting when comparing with 3 other motels we stayed at in the North Island, during peak season, in top holiday resorts. They were cheaper and top notch.

Nothing
1/For sale sign at entrance 2/Tired and run down premises 3/Threadbare carpets 4/Chipped plates 5/Poor kitchen facilities 6/Toilet not clean 7/This excuse for a motel whould only please those with the lowest standards, we checked out within an hour of arrival. This premises should be removed from your listing as they are not fit for purpose

Enjoyed most things about our stay. Very nice lady in the office and she was also very friendly.
There was this annoying noise coming from what I am sure was the pipe in the wall area in the kitchen -like a knocking noise every few minutes. I had to close the kitchen door to try get some sleep.
